Scientific Games is a leading provider of technology-based gaming systems as well as instant games, table products and table games. The company serves several markets and recently announced the successful launch of a new lottery instant games line. Titled HD Games, the new set of instant games have already launched in several states within the US and are doing quite well.
HD Games has high resolution imaging with unique play symbols in a large contemporary design. The paper stock used for the games is of premium quality, with enhanced security used plus upgraded features. The overall goal was to create an elevated player experience when it comes to instant lottery games.
In a press release, Senior Vice President, Instant Products at Scientific Games, John Schulz, commented: “Scientific Games congratulates the Ohio Lottery, Washington’s Lottery and Montana Lottery on their successful launch of this next generation of instant games for the enhanced enjoyment of players in their states.” Schulz added, “HD Games products are selling very well, and we are excited to introduce this new, engaging product line to our lottery customers and their players worldwide.”
The new line of HD Games products was tested in Ohio with the October 2017 launch of a game titled Cashing Thru the Snow. The $2 holiday game was quite a hit. According to the Ohio Lottery Commission Instant Ticket Product Manager, Ron Fornaro: “Cashing Thru the Snow is already outperforming all $2 holiday games that have launched over the past three years.” According to Fornaro, the trail of the new product line in Ohio was a hit.
In Washington, the state wanted something new for their instant games branded after the Seattle Seahawks. Scientific Games created a new title Seahawks Fever, a $5 game. This was part of the Washington HD Games launch.
For Montana, the state lottery launched a new game titled Crossword Electro HD. This new game costs $3 to play. Instant Products Manager of the Montana Lottery, Jay Boughn, stated that the products of HD Games were a natural progression for the state’s portfolio as the lottery has always offered a ‘great portfolio of crossword games’.
According to Scientific Games John Schulz, the products of HD Games are patent pending as they are created with enhanced features for game security. The number of dots for each image were increased significantly via a complicated printing process to construct a high-quality clarity that no other supplier of lottery games has yet to create.
The symbols on each card are applied with layers of inks that were just developed by technologists of Scientific Games. The new inks and technology being used with the products of HD Games were created over the past few years at the global lottery headquarters of Scientific Games, a facility situated north of Atlanta.
