American gaming machine and systems innovator Scientific Games Corporation has announced that it has won a lucrative five-year contract to provide new administrative systems technology to the headquarters of the Arizona Lottery in Phoenix.
Las Vegas-based Scientific Games Corporation revealed that it will now begin supplying the western state’s lottery with its advanced retail technology and gaming system, which is set to give the operator a more flexible back-office platform that can be better aligned to fit with current and future business priorities.
Scientific Games Corporation stated that the Arizona Lottery’s updated administrative systems are also set to benefit from a suite of integrated applications as well as ‘a proven application architecture and platform’ and ongoing implementation and customization updates.
“Scientific Games Corporation’s systems technology makes it easier and more efficient for the Arizona Lottery to manage its business,” read a Wednesday statement (pdf) from Patrick McHugh, Lottery Systems Senior Vice-President for Scientific Games Corporation. “By integrating solutions from our recent acquisition of Lapis Software Associates, the enterprise system improves the lottery’s engagement with retail partners and offers faster and more convenient experiences for Arizona players including prize payments.”
Scientific Games Corporation, which provides technology to more than 150 lottery operators around the world, explained that the new contract is to moreover see it provide the Arizona Lottery with a range of instant-win games alongside a second-chance program and future functionalities for mobile.
“The new enterprise system ensures the lottery’s visibility, control and financial auditing continue to operate with the highest level of efficiency and integrity,” read the statement from McHugh.
For his part, Gregg Edgar, Executive Director for the Arizona Lottery, declared that his organization ‘trusts the innovative systems solutions’ Scientific Games Corporation has customized for its operations before proclaiming that the new administrative technology is due to help the lottery provider better support its goals of continually improving productivity and accelerating growth responsibly so as ‘to increase our contributions to state beneficiaries’.
